SEO Agent Examples

What AI agents are actually doing for SEO today.

SEO agent examples show AI that's given a goal and some tools, then decides its own steps: researching a keyword, diagnosing a traffic drop, or drafting a brief. The best ones are narrow and well supervised.

You've probably seen a demo where an agent “does all your SEO” in three minutes. The examples worth studying are the quieter ones, where you can see every step it took and a person signs off on the result.

Patterns you'll see

We're still collecting and checking real entries for this collection. In the meantime, these are the common shapes they take:

  • The refresh scout. Finds pages losing clicks, reads the pages now outranking them, and writes up what's missing. Read-only.
  • The brief builder. Takes a keyword, looks at the top results, and drafts a structured brief for a writer. Drafts only.
  • The crawl triager. Reads a big crawl export alongside Search Console data and ranks issues by impact. Read-only.
  • The competitor watcher. Checks competitors' new pages weekly and summarises what they're targeting. Read-only.

Signs of a good example

  • It has one specific goal.
  • Every step and tool call is logged.
  • It points to the data behind its claims.
  • Anything that changes a site waits for approval.

Red flags

  • No logs, so you can't tell why it did what it did.
  • Write access to a live site from day one.
  • Results judged by how impressive they look rather than whether they're right.

What each entry will include

Each finished entry will note what it automates, what it's built with, how hard it is to set up, what it costs, what goes in and comes out, how much it runs on its own, and a link to the source (GitHub, YouTube, or docs). We only add systems people actually run, not marketing demos. If you've built one, it's a good fit.
